1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for the rental provision of hotel rooms for accommodation concluded between Steiger Hotels e.K. (Steiger Hotels) as the operator of Steiger Hotels in Saxon Switzerland and third parties (Guest). They also apply to all other services and deliveries provided by Steiger Hotels (Guest Accommodation Contract).


2. Reservations

By making a reservation, the Guest offers to enter into a Guest Accommodation Contract. Subject to availability, the Guest will receive a reservation confirmation. This confirmation constitutes the conclusion of the Guest Accommodation Contract.

Offers from Steiger Hotels regarding available rooms are subject to change and non-binding. Steiger Hotels may decline to enter into a Guest Accommodation Contract at its sole discretion.

There is no entitlement to the provision of a specific room. Steiger Hotels reserves the right to impose industry-standard restrictions such as minimum stays, booking guarantees, or deposits for certain dates.


3. Cancellation Policies

The cancellation conditions stated in the reservation confirmation apply. As a rule, Steiger Hotels offers various rates: Non-cancellable/non-rebookable reservations, Flexible reservations (cancellation up to 5 days before arrival), and Fully Flexible reservations (cancellation until 2:00 PM on the day of arrival). After the cancellation deadline has passed, the trip becomes due for payment (online payment). Cancellations must be made in writing. For bookings made through travel intermediaries or online travel platforms, cancellation must be made directly through the portal.

4. Prices

The prices stated at the time of contract conclusion apply. These are gross total prices including taxes, fees, and charges.

If taxes or charges change or new ones are introduced, Steiger Hotels may adjust prices accordingly, provided that more than four months lie between contract conclusion and service date.


5. Payment Terms

The price of the booked accommodation service becomes due after the cancellation deadline has passed. Valid payment methods are EC card, Visa, Mastercard, Diners Card, and American Express. We are a cashless hotel. Payment upon arrival is not possible.

Offsetting by the Guest is only permitted with undisputed or legally established claims.


6. Use of Rooms

Reserved rooms are available from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival until 11:00 AM on the day of departure.


7. Resale

Subletting or brokering of booked rooms without the consent of Steiger Hotels is prohibited. The same applies to the assignment of claims. Use of rooms for purposes other than accommodation is not permitted.


8. Liability

Steiger Hotels is liable for damages to life, body, and health in accordance with statutory provisions. For other damages, only in cases of gross negligence or intent.

For items brought onto the premises, Steiger Hotels is liable in accordance with statutory provisions.

Use of the hotel parking facilities does not create a custody agreement. Steiger Hotels is not liable for damages caused by third parties.

All claims by the Guest become time-barred after one year from the commencement of the limitation period, except in cases of intent, gross negligence, or personal injury.


9. Termination of Contract

Steiger Hotels may terminate the contract for good cause, particularly in cases of:

  • force majeure

  • false information provided during booking

  • obvious pricing errors
  • endangerment of operations, safety, or reputation

  • unlawful purpose of stay

  • unauthorized resale (see Section 7).

  • Overbooking/building damage

10. Vouchers & Upgrade Shop

  • Vouchers are valid for 3 years, non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • They can be used for accommodation or restaurant services.

  • The Upgrade Shop is an additional offer for guests with an existing booking (e.g., birthday packages). Orders are binding and will be charged with the hotel invoice.


11. Food & Beverages

Outside food and beverages may not be consumed in public areas. Breakfast and dinner take place exclusively in the designated rooms. Removal of buffet items is not permitted.


12. Non-Smoking

All Steiger Hotels are non-smoking hotels. In case of violations, we charge €150 cleaning costs (or higher if the damage is demonstrably greater).


13. Pets

Pets are only permitted with prior consent. Pets must be registered via the web shop or directly. The surcharge varies depending on size and length of stay. Only dogs are permitted.


14. Group Bookings

For bookings of 7 rooms or more, or for allotment contracts, separate payment and cancellation conditions apply, which will be communicated during the booking process.

16. EU Consumer Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution: https://www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Steiger Hotels does not participate in dispute resolution proceedings before consumer arbitration boards.


17. Final Provisions

Amendments and additions to these Terms and Conditions require text form. Unilateral changes by the Guest are invalid.

Place of jurisdiction is, insofar as legally permissible, Pirna. German law applies. UN sales law is excluded.
