I booked a non-cancellable rate, but now I have to cancel anyway.

Unfortunately, free cancellation is not possible with our non-cancellable rates. In this case, the entire accommodation price will be charged – regardless of the reason for cancellation. If you need more flexibility and/or do not have travel cancellation insurance, it is best to book one of our flexible rates.

Can I call the hotel?

We are here for you – but not by phone 📞. To give all guests the best possible attention, we deliberately do not offer telephone support.

When do I have to pay?

The trip is due for payment after the free cancellation period has expired. We will send an email with a payment link for online payment. We are a cashless hotel.

We accept EC cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Card and PayPal as well as Klarna.

Can I upgrade my stay with extras?

Yes! In our upgrade shop, you can book special extras – e.g., birthday packages, sparkling wine in your room, or a late check-out.

Can I book massages/cosmetics?

No, at Steiger Hotels, we currently do not offer our own massage or cosmetic treatments.

👉 Our tip: In the Saxon Switzerland region, you will find many external providers – for example, in Bad Schandau at the Toskana Therme or in nearby wellness studios.

From what time can we check in and by when do we have to check out?

Check-in is possible from 2:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. You are welcome to drop off your luggage earlier.

We are arriving later, is that possible?

Yes, a later arrival is easily possible 👍. Please inform us briefly beforehand, and we will send you the check-in code via SMS. A key safe is located at the hotel door or night entrance. You enter the code and then receive the room or access card for the hotel. An emergency number is always provided on the door.

Are pets allowed?

Dogs are very welcome in our hotels. Please register your four-legged friend beforehand via our webshop here.

Important: subject to request & availability. If dogs are not registered beforehand, this may lead to higher costs on site.

How does parking work in Rathen?

In Rathen, there is a special feature: the town itself is divided into two parts. Niederrathen, the side where our hotels are located, is car-free.

You park your car in the central guest parking lot on the Elbe bank in Oberrathen (Elbweg)
The costs are based on the prices of the spa town. We can discount the ticket by 50% at the hotel.
From there, you can reach our hotels Zeitgeist Rathen and Rathener Hof directly across the Elbe with the cable ferry (pedestrian ferry, approx. 2-minute ride).
Ferry costs are included in the overnight stay price. Please show your booking confirmation for the first ferry crossing.

👉 Tip: Plan a few extra minutes for your arrival – the crossing itself is already a beautiful experience and part of your holiday start.

Can I safely store my bicycle?

Yes, in almost all Steiger Hotels you can safely store your bicycles – organized differently depending on the location:

Rathener Hof → lockable bicycle room at the hotel
Zeitgeist Rathen → the bicycle room of the Rathener Hof can be used
Parkhotel Hohnstein → bicycle garages directly at the building
Landidyll Steiger → bicycle garages directly at the building
Sebnitzer Hof → no possibility!
Apparthotel Bad Schandau → You can store your bikes in the underground garage.

Can I charge my e-bike at the hotel?

Yes, charging e-bikes is possible with us – but only if you can remove the battery and take it to your room.

Is there a kettle?

Kettles and tea-making facilities are in the room.

Do we need to bring bathrobes?

In the room, you will find a wellness bag with towels, sauna towels & a bathrobe. We do not offer disposable slippers at the hotel.

Exception: At Apparthotel Bad Schandau, bathrobes are available upon request from staff.

Does the room have a balcony?

Our rooms are equipped very differently. At Apparthotel Bad Schandau, Zeitgeist Rathen, and Rathener Hof, some rooms have a balcony.

Are there accessible rooms?

Unfortunately, there are no accessible rooms in our hotels. If you arrive with a wheelchair, we recommend our Apparthotel Bad Schandau, as it has ground-floor rooms with large bathrooms. Please note that our elevators are out of service from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM for safety reasons.

Is there air conditioning?

Our Landidyll Hinterhermsdorf, Zeitgeist Rathen, Parkhotel Hohnstein, and Rathener Hof are air-conditioned.
